First, the nitpicky. The harpy and the hawk need to get their turret points moved to the wingtips and head like the merlin cuz w/o turrets there, the ship just looks dumb, but with them o so sweet. The Maller needs to get the wiregriding removed from the little antenna things on the end of the wings (look real close and you see a little wireframe "box" around them, has bugged me whenever Ive flown one). The gap in the punishers wings also needs to be filled in. Id also like it if all the engine ports off the back of the brutix actually gave off some flame/trail. I picked one up yesterday and it looked like only 1/2 of them were "on". Annoyed me. The megathron is a good looking ship as well, but SOMETHING about it has always made me think more of a luxury cruise liner than a battleship. Maybe give the roundness of its bottom-end more jagged like the front. No big deal here though
Second, the close but not quite there. The apoc needs a goddamn back end. The front looks so sweet but the back... it looks like the minmatar slaves went on strike before they could finish it. The prophecy needs something about its "belly" done as well. The ship looks amazing when looking at it from the top, but when viewed sideways looks like a pregnant chicken. And it might be just me with this, but i think that leg on the thorax needs to go too. The ship looks incredible besides that.
Third, the unsalvageable. Raven, Moa, Caracal. Omg please. Moa most of all. I dont know WHAT was going through the designers head (or what he was on) when he drew this, but it looks... i cant even think of an ugly enough example. REVAMP. The Caracal just looks dumb as hell. Looks like a geometry project of mine when I was playing with right angles in middleschool. I guess the "dagger" look at the very tip is ok, but the rest has to go. The Raven is just ugly, and the only thing right about it is that it almost looks like it has a wingspan. The whole model has to go but whatever replaces it has to have that big winged look as well. Its supposed to look "Majestic", how about actually making it look that way. Some say the dominix too. I can see that, it looks like a giant turd. But the fact that it looks "fat" in some way is ok with me because after all, its a drone ship. I expect there to be some sense of a huge cavity in it. But it looks too fat and round and brown.
I know thats a lot to say but ive been *****ing about these things since the start of the game and i NEED TO VENT. thanks
